usually it means , it's copy protected... You need to RIP using a program that supports/bypasses the copy protection scheme.

I don't think so, I ripped this file from a DVD I bought and all the other 29 tracks copy over fine to an external backup drive, it's a problem with only one file....
I've ran into this problem once before with some audio files, I thought had a problem, but the video file in question is playing correctly with no issues...just won't copy over displaying the above error massage....

Do you mean CYCLIC redundancy check error ? Usually it means a bad/corrupted media source and very rarely a bad media destination.
If you're trying to copy the file from a CD/DVD ROM medium then I would suggest to try to copy it in another machine just in case it's your CD/DVD Drive that's failing to read the file from the bad/semi-damaged optical disc.
If you're trying to copy the file from a HDD then I would suggest to run CHKDSK (or any similar tool) to fix any errors with your drive and try again. If CHKDSK fails to fix the problem then I would take a backup of the entire drive immediately as this means that the drive develops serial damage (bad sectors) and it's a matter of time before it becomes completely unusable.
