Hey all :)
I bought a Hercules 4mx a couple weeks ago and it came with VDJ LE (4MX), but recently I noticed this problem with the sound. It's as if the treble keeps fading out and then fading in. I know for sure the songs don't sound like that...
I haven't had that problem (or at least didn't notice it) until a couple days ago. Just yesterday though, I had no problems whatsoever. Even today, no problems, until I disconnected the set and then reconnected it again... then it started doing it again! I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting again and restarting my laptop but no luck.
Here is a short recording of one of my songs to better describe this problem (downloading the song is better than listening to it from that silly sample player):

This problem is a real pain in the butt. It really ruins my mixes!
I have the PRO trial version right now, but I have no idea if any of the settings are wrong or if any of them is causing my songs to be played like that. I haven't touched those settings though, so I have no clue what to do. I know I should post some info here, but I don't know what to post exactly...
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

go through the manual you might find which one has to be started first
software or controller

You don't have to read your manual: Always connect and power up the controller before starting VDJ. If you start up VDJ first, you have to restart VDJ after powering up the controller.

Hi, have you updated the drivers from Hercules website?

You're right Martin FourS. Learned that by trial and error. Thanks for the reply though dj_pradeep12789 :)
Apparently though, I messed around with the pitch a bit (I was curious about what the Pitch Scale does ... still a newbie here lol), then reset the pitch, and presto, back to normal. That was just weird seeing as how I just plugged in my set. I mean, shouldn't everything be reset once you plug in your set?
After messing around some more, I noticed it's the Pitch Reset that fixes this problem. All I do is load a song on each deck, hit Pitch Reset on both decks, then the songs being played will sound perfect :)
I'm happy that this got sorted out (even though I lost 9 days of PRO trial left because I reverted my settings back to factory default thinking that would fix it... not that pissed about that though since I was gonna buy PRO anyways. Can't live without mappers lol). It's just weird why it suddenly did that...
I'll leave this topic here in case someone else faces a problem similar to this (or the mods can delete it if they want). I'm happy with a temporary fix to this problem, but if anyone knows why it does this or if there's a permanent solution, please let me know :)
Thanks

Hey spinnaJ. When I installed my set on my laptop, I got this little button on the bottom left near the clock that says Hercules DJ Series Control Panel. I can check for updates there. I just did and it says I have the latest version. Is that what you mean by updated drivers?

If you are using keylock, make sure that you have enabled advanced stretching in CONFiG -> Performances
