I am currently using an American Audio VMS4 with Virtual DJ Pro 7. Recently I saw a Midi Fighter 3D made by DJ Tech Tools

I want to get this Midi Fighter 3D and run it alongside my VMS4. How do I set Virtual DJ up to run both pieces of hardware at the same time? Also the Midi Fighter has a tilt and compass sensor to control the parameters of effects or whatever you midi map it to do. So far it appears that DJ Tech Tools only has midi maps for Tractor. How would I go about setting it up in VDJ7?

you will need to create a definition and mapper so it can be recognised by vdj, I can't see djtt ever publishing a vdj mapper for it, at least until version 8 is released anyway ;-)

i'll work on some mappings for 7.3 and share when complete, i am also a huge midi fighter fan, everyone over there at djtt is into traktor which i am not. but i do agree once vdj8 is released, (and i hope) mapping will become alot easier and more people will jump into vdj8
*edit* i have a vms 4.1 aswell *edit*

SecretSeven, That would be great! I didn't realize until now that people have responded to this post. I just got linked back to it by doing a google search for Midi Fighter 3D mappings for Virtual DJ. Still nothing. I am not a Tractor fan either. Tried it out once and never again since. Now I am in the process of getting all new equipment which I plan on using with VDJ. 2 Denon DN-S3700s, Pioneer DJM-2000, Novation Dicers, Pioneer RMX-1000, and maybe a MIDI Fighter 3D later on just for the hell of it if. Well that is if someone makes a map and definition file for it. At this point I could take it or leave it.

i'm currently working on creating a definition file and mapping file for the midi fighter 3d, its a bit more challenging then i thought, i'll have to make a new post to get provided help. it seemed to be alot easier with the korg nanopad2 which i currently use along with my vms 4.1. what i like about both devices even though i have plenty of buttons on the vms 4.1 to create loops and hot cues, i have mappings set on the extra controllers to activate options ONLY while the buttons are pressed down (example: 1 loop, .5 loop, .25 loop, .125 loop). i also use this same process to activate effects, to controll the pitch bend, and filter adjust. and now i'm using a configuration of buttons to create drops and build ups (loop stepping from 1 to .125, then pitch bend +)
i'll hopefully be able compile everything into an easy install file where the effects i use, device and mapping xml files, and the midi fighter 3d settings file are extracted and installed into their proper default folders for win7 users. you will still need to use the midifighter utility to export the midi fighter settings file and then send it to the midi fighter so you can have the propper LED configuration/tilt options.
