After 5 years on my trusty Toshiba laptop, it's finally time to get a new, more powerful, one. I see most "PC" laptops are now running WIndows 7 Premium 64 Bit. If I read the VDJ system requirements, I think it recommended Windows 7, 32 Bit.
Will the Window 7, 64 bit laptops have any compatiblity issues with the most current version of VDJ?

HI , Im here to explain a few things that will make your life easier, when purchasing a laptop for vdj its important to 1. have the fastest most powerful processor you can afford and 2. If you are doing video you must get a dedicated video card not integrate d graphics card.... these things are so very important.

Re up I , I hope this helps to make a few dj's life a bit easier, when purchasing a laptop for vdj its important to 1. have the fastest most powerful processor you can afford and 2. If you are doing video you must get a laptop with dedicated video card( i prefer nvida- ati's have more issues with vdj) not integrated graphics card like intel hd2000 or hd3000. THESE things are so very important to a good running system with vdj and of course if running 64bit w7 i would have at least 8g of ram, ram is cheap if you get a laptop spend a few bucks and upgrade.

Another thing you might wanna consider is if your hardware (mostly your current soundcard) has decent 64-bit drivers. Most soundcards do, but you might wanna check it out especially if your soundcard is 5 to 10 years old! :)
