I was wondering if V DJ has a DUAL Sync function. What i was thinking is if you have a track 1 @ 125bpm and you want to mix in track 2 that is say 95bpm maybe have a DUAL sync function option. You would start by looping the 95bpm (now beat matched to track 1 125bpm) 8 beats and bring it into the mix. Then drag down the 125 bpm and it will automatically drag down track 2 in sync until it reaches 95bpm and then fade out track 2.
Can help with mixing all types of genre's. Maybe its already there on a pro version.

Yes, it's called beatlock. Works like sync, but stays locked to the pitch of the other deck even if you adjust it mid-mix. That feature has been part of vdj for years, at least since version 3.x, probably longer than that! :)

wow..Okay..I thought it seemed something simple that they would have..moved over from cdj's and turntables and wondered if they had it but looked in options and couldn't see it listed. I just saw the skin has a tiny key lock graphic next to the pitch control and what do you know!
Thanks for the help on that.

Ah, keylock is something else entirely - a bit like the master tempo on your cdjs, except you can lock the key at any pitch you like, not just at 0%, very useful to get two tracks to mix harmonically as well as by bpm. The beatlock doesn't have a button for it on the default skin, but it is accessible via keyboard shortcuts, you press "B" for it if memory serves! VDJ is full of little hidden features like that, it's well worth reading the manual and having a look at the keyboard shortcuts in the config screen as well, I bet there's a boatload of features that you (and many others!) never knew existed!
Happy experimenting....

There's a padlock next to each pitch slider on the default skin called "pitch lock" that's what you need, use with caution :).

It's beatlock, not pitchlock he's after... linking the BPM's of the decks together...

Yes, Thanks for that. I saw the little keylock next to the pitch control and she works well..life seems so simple right now! haha
I am still learning alot and trying to cross over the skills practiced on CDJ'S and Mixer effects to VDJ. The next thing i am hunting for is a really good interactive midi controller. Anything anyone would recommend in the $300-500 budget that really stands out and gives you some hands on control of your sets as opposed to just play/loop/bpm adjust type controllers i have seen.
I probably be using my MAC for this so any advice that applies to that for incase of technical issues. !
Thanks again guys and sorry if i post this 2nd part in the wrong section!

That's what pitchlock does, you're thinking of keylock ;) - don't mess with the best.

Actually you're both right.
Pitchlock - locks both pitch sliders so they move together
Beatlock - locks both decks in sync including pitch and jog movements
