I have been trying to create a music video mix, but everytime I try it won't let me begin. I've seen *video codec error* come up whenever I hit the start record. I read on here awhile back that you need divx & that hasn't solved anything. I've got an acer laptop (W7HP, 3G ram, DC pentium 2.3g) hooked up to my vms4, & a vga cord from my laptop going to a monitor so I can better watch it on screen. I'm looking for any help that will resolve this issue (preff. without spending $$)

Apparently you have selected a certain filetype, and a codec is missing.
