I've been having this small annoying problem for a while, but decided to post about it to see if anyone knows how to stop this from happening.
Sometimes when I search for a song at an event, the song will show up in the search results as it is supposed to, but come the next event, I search for the same song and it doesn't show up at all in the search results, causing me to either having to physically find the folder with the song or history that the song was last played, right click the song, and add it again to the search database.
This appears to be happening more often and it varies from week to week. I tried to search for three songs at last night's wedding that I was able to search with no problem the week before, but none would show up in the search. I had to find them and re-add them to the database search.
Hope this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,

I found out that when a folder (any) contains to many files (songs) the search facility stop working ( on the newest files) this happend now two times for me, The only remady for me was to remove some old songs from my folder "new music".After I had done that , the search facility works ok. So in other words it seems like there is not memmory allocated per folder in the source code.......
A simple test is to search for a old song on your folder VS a new song on the same folder. And see if you can see the old and not the new

Some of the songs in your collection may be in Microsoft WMA format, which by default MacOS does not support without 3rd party codecs.
Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Playing%20WMA%20or%20WMV%20files%20on%20an%20Apple%20Mac.html
Also, make sure that you have added all your songs to your database on Mac:

NOTE: If you are using a drive that is PC NTFS formatted, Mac won't be able to write to it (To save changes to the database, etc.) See: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Use%20external%20drive%20on%20Windows%20and%20Mac.html
