Topic: Generic AC Adapter, Should I Trust it?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I'd be loathed to take their word for it! I would want to know 1) the output voltage, 2) the current capacity, 3) whether or not the output is regulated dc, 4) the plug type, and 5) the polarity of the plug. If the specs don't match the unit, it might not work - worse, it could do some damage...

i nearly cooked my old laptop my asus, hear and there i was using my G53 lappy charger on my normal lappy. i did have an aftermarket battery on it but that battery nearly exploded . iv put back the old battery untill i get a brand new asus battery for it. from now on i use the appropriate chargers for my lappy.

Just buy genuine it's not worth it

Given that Stanton doesn't make an official one?

he needs to find one with same specs

I would buy it. Some midi controllers come with adapters like this..

Thanks for all the input, frying the controller is exactly what I'm fearing, just waiting now for the seller to email me back about the full specs

Make sure if it comes with those little adapter heads you choose the correct fit, if you fit one up from the right one it could cause heat on your laptop connection or worse still you might lose the charging from it and the lappy dies on you in the middle of your show.

Other than that and it is a decent adapter you should be ok.

1. Power Connector
A DC adaptor can be used when the USB port cannot provide enough power to the unit. Please use only a 6V DC adaptor.
2. ON/OFF Switch
Turns the DJC.4 ON/OFF.
3. USB Port
Connects your DJC.4 to your computer for both audio and

@tayla, check the link it is a fixed socket, it's supposed to be made for the djc4, but wondering if I should instead maybe get the universal I saw on amazon though it's rated 2.5a and the djc4 says 1.5a and Stanton says 2a

@chuck, already been there man, they told me they do not make an adapter for the unit but I would need a 6v at 2a

would using a powered hub for the usb do the trick??

Thanks for the tip chuck, hadn't thought of that but I just tested it on my belkin hub, and sure enough emergency through and mic still worked with the computer turned off. Good looking out, you just saved me $30;^]

great , glad to hear it

I carry two of these, because I have been there.

I had looked at the hosa, but stanton told me 2a where the hosa is only 1.2a, but since I got it working with my 3.5a powered hub I'm all gravy;^]
