it is a good controller, I enjoy mine very much. Well worth the price.

I LOVE my MTP ... easy to configure and has never let me down ...... I see plenty of controllers that are in my future but will NEVER get rid of my MTP

i've used it... found that the headphone levels were low. especially once you get in a loud club environment. other than that i thought it was great. perfect for home use and small weddings/parties

Thanks for the responses folks, Is it easy enough to use as this will be my first controller that i will be getting, Also im a bit concerened about the post about the headphones as it will be getting used in pubs etc. Is it really that bad??

thanks

If have to remember that it's USB powered which is Why the headphones are not very loud. You could always get a set of powered headphones or an amplifier for the headphones and you shouldn't have a problem. Depending how fast you advance skill wise you might also get bored and out grow it.

Good luck and enjoy no matter what you go with....

Hi there. I am completely clueless to these things. I'm only on here because I want to buy my other half a great 30th bday gift and don't want to get anything not worth getting. But I also don't want to break the Bank. So figured you folks would be the best to ask. I too saw the Numark Mixtrack Pro and wondered if it's a good buy. Or if you would suggest another controller for under $400 that you think is worth every penny. Thanks much!

kytb, here are some controllers in your price range. I use the Mixtrack Pro and love it, but there are many other very good controllers on the market. Read some reviews on each of these and see what you think will work best.

It really depends on how loud the pub gets, how much that sound gets to the DJ area, and how good your headphones are. If your headphones are efficient and block a lot of external sound, or if your not dealing with concert level sound in the DJ area, I think you'll be OK.

It is an easy controller to use. Works right out of the box with VDJ. I've been mobile with mine for almost 2 years now.

does anybody know why I am hearing scratchy sounds through my headphones when i play a song. I have recently bought a mixtrack pro and i think it is something got to do with it??
