Topic: ratings display error

iv had this since as far back as 7.05b.
at first it would normally happen if i did a reboot of my pc, but now it seems to happen from a fresh start of the pc.
normaly if it happens i would reboot the pc and the problem would be gone.
but today i had to rebbot the pc 4 times before it solved the problem.

instead of the stars in the rating section of the browser i get this:


is this a known problem with the software or possibly my pc setup?
thanks for any help as its starting to wear on my nerves ;)

Which OS?

I posted a "helpful hint" a while ago about how to enable them in XP here but the method for Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 will be different.

They're a unicode font called Black Star apparently.
 
im running windows 7
packard bell with core i3 and 3gb of ram...

so is this a known issue or something more to do with the computer??
 
 
It means the font is missing. You can either change the skin or edit the skin to fix the problem
 
So, is there any permanent fix to the Rating Stars, if not then the Development team needs to take a look at this issue.

I've windows 7 and the Stars get replaced by squares at random times. Even if I don't change skins, I could have the Stars show up correctly and then exit and launch VDJ and the squares would show up. Then 2 days later the Stars would show up again. I've had this issue since 7.0.1
