Hey Guys,

Hope all is well and that you all had a wonderful Christmas!? Firstly...

Happy New Year to you all!!


I just wanted to share with you that today I have managed to convert a Serato user over to VDJ!!!... I am so pleased!! He has used Serato in clubs across the UK for about 6 years and before that was a hardened 'Final Crash' user, so I invited him over to my place where I have a nice setup with decent Pioneer gear and a good sound system and gave it to him full throttle!!

He was amazed at how much VDJ has come along since he last saw it (which was back in the AtomixMP3 days!!). And as a result has purchased a licence!!

He is by far the least most technically minded of people when it comes to the internet but I am going to get him setup on here with an account.

His name is Steve Draycott and he is going to take it out (all being well) for it's first spin this coming Friday!!

If he hasn't got up to speed with the forum by then I'll post a quick note about how he got on!!!

Well done.

I have recently tried serato with the DDJ-SX I really cant believe how serato is as popular as it is, its so limited compared to VDJ
 
i picked up the pioneer djj-sx with the serato video lic. used in my shop for a couple of days could not believe how limited i was when it came to video mixing i could not believe all the hype around serato
 
im looking to upgrade to a better controller in the next few months and am most likely opting for the ddj-sx.
this may mean useing it with serato as i hate having a controller that dosent fully function the way my old bcd3000
never fully worked with vdj. what would be great is if vdj 8 was released with the ability to use the ddj-sx fully
or release something similar and as good for virtual dj

I'd love an SX controller. Unfortunately according to their website, Serato DJ plus the video plugin won't work on the vast majority of laptops. Serato DJ apparently doesn't like AMD processors, so you're forced to go down the Intel route. However, the video plugin doesn't like Intel graphics, so you need to look at ATI and Nvidea graphics, most of which are found on laptops with AMD processors. *headdesk*

Could I have some VDJ stickers to stick over the serato logos on my DDJ-SX please :-)
 
Sure, I'll dig them out. Might be a bit large for that though!
