What sound card are you using? Are all files the same bit rate, or do they vary, and what are they? What do you mean by worsen?

have you updated your computer? Do you have the newest drivers for the sound card? Have you updated ditect x and java and everything including windows?

The Sound Only gets worse when you have Usb drop outs. You may have to tweak up your computer for better peformance.

Make sure that power saving is not enabled on your USB ports in Windows device manager. On some computers this can cause problems due to your computer not giving sufficient power to the MIDI controller to operate correctly.
USB 3 ports can also cause problems with some hardware. Try using an external powered USB 2 hub.
