Hi,
Not sure if anyone can help me with this.
I just bought a Numark Mixtrack pro (the one with the soundcard output).
My setup looks like this:
Macbook pro
Mixtrack Pro
External Audio interface - Saffire Pro 40 plugged by firewire into the macbook pro
Headphones plugged to Mixtrack pro (to hear the cue)
In virtual DJ:
Advanced config:
Master : Saffire Pro 40 Outputs 1&2
Headphones: Mixtrack Pro Outputs 3&4
The sound coming out of the headphones is fine for a few minutes. Then it starts to get distorted, and then it completely disappears.
Now, I've read online that I should use the output of the Mixtrack Pro and plug it directly to the speakers. But the sound is really bad and I don't want to do it. The sound coming out of the Saffir pro 40 is much better.
Id like to know if there was a software solution to this, either it be drivers, configuration o any other alternatives.
THanks!

Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Distortion%20when%20using%20two%20sound%20cards.html
NOTE: You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional to be able to use advanced sound card setups, external DJ sound cards and much, much more. If you like VirtualDJ, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html - VirtualDJ Home FREE cannot be used for commercial purposes including gigs where you are being paid.
Using a proper dedicated multi-channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO is strongly recommended.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was a frequency / Bitrate problem.
I checked in Audio Midi setup and this is what is shown:
Saffire Pro 40 (sound card) : 12 ch 24 Bit Integer
Numar Mixtrack Pro (DJ controller) : 4 ch 16 Bit
And I don't know why but I can't change it for either of them.
Does this mean the 2 are incompatible??
