Did anyone catch the show ? If so what are your thoughts ?
People seem to be getting confused between the difference of a actual DJ and someone like Tiesto who is more like a Producer just playing tracks. People are asking me why they do not have artists playing EDM . In my Opinion, a Actual DJ Blends, Scratches and most importantly plays different kinds of music but yet again it all depends what kind of environment aka Venue or party you are in or djing.

I don't have VH1 so I was trying to find the eppisodes. No luck at all. If anyone knows where I can watch them I would love to. I saw 1 and it was Dj Scratch vs Dj Revolution. Anything I find on the web page or youtube is the after show summary and I just heard about this yesturday. I will never be bale to scratch but I want to see what else these Dj's are doing, so I can maybe learn what not to do.

I was trying to get a pay per view refund! I was expecting better performances and it was far from it! I then listened to the whole sets on Iheart radio and just confirmed to me, that only 2 or 3 really want it, the others are trying to cash in being on the show!

Congratulations DJ JayCeeoh for Winning Master of The Mix. DJ Chris Karns & Incrediboi were very good also. I thought Chris Karns was going to win it all. Master Of The Mix TV Show on VH1 is attracting Tons of New Djs and they will want to Buy Turntables to hook it up with Timecodes.

There were moments on the show, in past episodes where I kept thinking, exactly why is this person on this show? DJ Dime Piece, DJ Fly Guy (AKA DJ Cry Guy), DJ Homme ( he has made skills, on an iPad), DJ B Hen, DJ Tina T, and some other dude from Philly. These DJs were not on the same level as; DJ Chris Karns, DJ Jayceeoh, DJ Incrediboi, DJ Brian Dawes ( who got a raw deal), DJ Dynamix, and DJ Loczi. Then it hit me, it's TV and they added some of these "DJs" for drama which equals ratings. As a DJ I was not entertained by the drama.
The guess judges, some were true DJs and should have been invited to add some critique and some should have stayed at home. I would like to see them bring back a previous winner to sit and judge.
Just my 2 cents.

The show is fantastic, it shines light on the DJ's and what the art is all about. Finally dj's have an outlet to showcase their talents to the world, i hope they improve the show a bit and keep on going for more seasons.

Bro you can't be serious?? You do know the show is rigged, right??
As far as djs having an outlet well that's what the DMC is for along with others like the Redbull contest and such. If you need an outlet might suggest throwing your own battles or hire some skilled djs to wow your crowds.

I dont know if the show is rigged or not but, The ones who made it to the finals were very good. The show is very good to watch because it brings alot of attention to the djs.

I recall reading a news report several years ago when Dj scratch won $250.000 for the 1st series & i was lost for words after reading his comments.
Quote ..
"I'm gonna go record shopping and I'm going to take a road trip," Scratch said. "[I'm] an avid record collector. So I'm going record shopping and then everything else is going into the bank. [laughs] I can't give out the artists [I'm looking for] because they're rare. If you're in the record collector community, you don't tell those titles because we play these records and I might have a 45 that's worth two, three grand but I'll actually play it. I'll still play the vinyl."
DJ Scratch has produced for artists such as Busta Rhymes, Das EFX, Pharoahe Monch, Onyx, Method Man & Redman, 50 Cent, Guru, The Roots, Tha Alkaholiks, LL Cool J, Beanie Sigel, DMX, Talib Kweli and many more. so hes not short of income or royalties...
I admire Dj scratch's enthusiasm & i congratulate him on his win as i doubt he needed the prize money .. .But the series seems like brand endorsement rather than a competition..

100% last week, the guy with the best track got sent home. Why you ask? All because he didn't scratch. He was the only guy who really moved the crowd and he lost. Stupid stuck up "I am better than you because I scratch DJs" completely disgust me! It is about your crowd and entertaining them, not being vain and all about yourself.
I will not watch it any longer. I REFUSE to subscribe to the beliefe that scratching is that important. They even gave him credit for best track too, yet he was sent home! As in off the show, you have no more chance, all for being the best of the night!
I understand he was maybe not the best of the group and would probably not win, but sennt home? Really?

Loczi got sent home because he didn't do anything. He just played the track & Moved a few buttons and that's it. Anyone can play a track & move buttons. That's why they were told to play there remixed version and then bring it to life in there show case (Scratching, Use Cue Points, Effects, Etc Live). In The Master of the Mix show, If you don't follow there rules, They scratch your record. Loczi is More of a producer type (Premixed Intro Outro DJ) He has Skillz but Not as good as the final 3. Jay, Chriss & Incrediboi can be creative live without using premixed tracks. Loczi makes premixed tracks because bpm's are high and low where the other 3 can be creative by using the tempo and use cue points to manuever there way out into different tracks with higher or lower bpms.

I gave it another shot, because I was a big fan of the 1st two seasons and it got better. The best man did win, because he completed the challenge the best out of the 3 finalist that night.
See where people get lost is that many were on this overall better thing, however they knew who was better than who, but you had to prove that on a nightly basis, like the NCAA basketball tournament. You could be the top seed, but that meant nothing if you had a bad night and lost.

I had mixed emotions. Everything from, that's not really what a real DJ does, to it's the future of digital DJs.
I had to come to the realization that today's DJ is also a music producer and not necessarily a manipulator of discs. I still prefer to just creatively mix prerecorded music, but there's a demand for EDM and I like to embrace cutting edge of technology.
I hope that the show expands to include DJs who can mix all kinds of recorded songs.
