Topic: Misbehaving scratch buttons on MTP

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Maybe a brain here can help?

Have VDJ Pro Full, and bought the MTP seperately, and downloaded the MTP mapper from this site.

With VDJ in Vinyl mode, pressing the scratch button does undesirable things to the left jog wheel.

Sometimes turning scratch mode on causes the track to pause, and the only way to get it to play is hold the jogwheel very still.

Sometimes, with scratch mode on, holding the jogwheel causes the the track to stop, and ski-i-i-i-i-i-ip slowly forwards, not stop entirely like I'd expect.

When they're off, the whole thing behaves quite normally, but thats not the point.

Is my beloved MTP shot already?

And today, the left jog wheel is working perfectly in scratch mode.

Very odd...

Touch sensitive platters. Hmm, not sure if that is the case with your controller, but worths reading this .... (found it on Google)

... When you 'hover' the deck and it activates it's picking up the static charge on your hand. You're probably high on positive charge from the flooring, and when you touch the deck you ground out and give it a stable negative charge. I would also be curious to know when the last time your outlets were checked for proper grounding. The unit ties to earth ground via the electrical house wiring. That flooring is notorious for generating charge. Try it 'bare foot' on that floor once, not even socks ;) ...

Who knew..?
