Topic: USB2 Sound Cards Won't Work On New Laptop

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have two USB2 sound cards that I am having trouble getting to work on my new HP laptop. I don't think the issue is with Virtual DJ, but rather with Windows. The reason I say this, is after I went through the process of choosing the correct audio settings in Virtual DJ (external mixer, and selecting each external USB Sound card for left and right player), I went into the Windows Sound Section, and could not get either sound card to work in Windows. The sound cards both appear in the device manager as USB Sound Device. They both also appear in the Windows Sound section, appearing as "Speakers (USB Sound Device)" and "Speakers (2- USB Sound Device)". When I use the Windows Sound test function, I don't get any sound out of the cards.

Could this issue be due to my connecting USB2 sound cards to USB3 connections on the new laptop? I have used these soundcards without any difficulty on my old laptop. Also noteworthy, HP installed something called "Beats Audio". I see both sound cards in the Beats Audio control panel. The USB sound cards are not muted in either the Beats Audio control panel, or the Windows Sound mixer.

I am using Windows 7, and appreciate any suggestions.
