Topic: Adding on to the numark dj2go

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hey guys im pretty new to mixing so i started out getting the numark dj2go to toy around with at first.

I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade my gear without having to spend a bomb on a whole new midi controller. Maybe like mapping certain keys on the keyboard for FX controls and more cues and getting cheaper usb plug in knobs for the bass, mid, and high eq which the numark dj2go lacks.

Is that possible or does anyone else have any suggestions?

Check out something like an Akai lpd8. I use one with the pads mapped to hot cues and the knobs mapped for effects. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to map your eq...

You will also need VirtualDJ pro to map keys and add additional devices.

thanks for the feedback guys.

right now ive mapped the hot cues to my keyboard, and im thinking of getting that akai lpd8 soon, looks great.

does anyone know of a crossfader modular add ons? the one on the numark dj2go is too tiny and i always touch the jogwheels by accident when i cut causing the timing of my mixes to go outta sync.

Let's see, dj2go, akai module, now a crossfader module. Why not get a better controller that has all these features, and more? Just a thought.

I started out slow with the numark dj2go, and wanted to build on that without having to spend the money on getting a brand new midi controller everytime i wanted an upgrade.

Besides it'll still be pretty cheap

I totally agree. There are plenty of fairly decent basic controllers that are dirt cheap. You'll find your experience with an all-in-one controller much more enjoyable than the 'Frankenstein controller' you're trying to build. Why spend $140 on mixing and matching gear when Hercules controllers are like $150-$250... I don't think that'll break the bank. Just sell your DJ2GO on Craigslist for $30 bucks and then sell some blood to come up with another $100 and you're in business!
