I don't see why not. Just make sure that the output of the mic, will match the input of your controller. I use Shure, but spend a little more than you can afford. I love the Beta 58.

I've been using the Shure Dual Channel Handheld Wireless PG58 Mic System at the club 6 days a week for over 4 years. I like them, and my karaoke customers really like them too. After all this time, the power button on one of them is starting to wear out, but other than that they have been problem free. You can find them for around $550. I've used lots of cheaper mics, including a pair of akg's and most of them only last a year or two. I just bought a second set of the Shures for my mobile gigs. Only drawback on the Shures is their battery life. You get 8 hours on a 9v. The akg's sounded pretty decent and would run 30 hours on a double a.

Thanks guys.
Another question I want to have 3 mics what would you suggest.
They dont have to be top tier but something that would preform well for basic mcing and the occasional singer/rapper doing there thing over a track.

I'd just use two of the dual Shures on different channels. I've got a buddy that uses the VocoPro UHF-5900 UHF PLL Wireless Mic System with Frequency Scan. It's a four mic system for $480. It's a lot less expensive route to initially, but they probably won't last as long, and they don't sound as good. If they last two years you'll have spent about the same money as doing with the Shures, and will have had sub par sound the whole time. Cheap mics are a pain in the a$$ when it comes to reliability. My Shures have taken a beating and still function the perfectly. The windscreens haven't even been dented. I've scene plenty of cheap mics drop once and crack to the point of needing tape to hold them together, or they quit working all together. In the long run being cheap is rarely cheaper. If your short on cash and need them soon then I would prob get the Voco's, but if you can afford it you'll prob never regret buying nice mics. Shure wireless mics can cost thousands of dollars, the system I recommended is their entry level stuff. If I could afford the better ones I'd buy them.

Cool I can live with 2 and ill take a good look at the shure system

That beta 58 looks nice, but thats 8 bills for two of them. I plan on doing some major upgrading of my mobile system over the next few years, might have to consider getting a pair of those.

You can get the AKG WMS 40 MINI, for around 100 its a nice entry level wireless mic.

Was just looking at that have you used it?

In the german forum the akg wms 40 is one of the most recommended wireless mics. I use 2 of them myself and I know none that so fulfills a balance between price and performance, such as the WMS 40 does. It is reliable, saves energy (I replaced the battery 2 times in 1,5 years) and is processed cleanly. I really like it...even though my wired shure SM 58 has a better speech quality.

My only input to this forum is make sure they are UHF!! I use the Vocopro 4 mic system. I like them, but at the 2 year mark the base unit went out, I was lucky to find a matching base on Ebay!

UHF is the way to go... Well, if you're in the USA make sure it is within the frequencies that aren't reclaimed for Emergency use (700Mhz and above). www.fcc.gov/guides/wireless-microphone-faqs
I have the Vocopro 5800 4 mic set too but it's 700Mhz (most of the cheaper ones selling on ebay are too...) So I really can't use them. I have used a couple of Audio Technica AW mics as well as the higher end shure mics for installs and they are all rock solid.
The last set I bought was a GTD Audio G-733H, it uses the same heads as the vocopro and sounds like the Chinese version of the Shure 57 head. Relatively inexpensive and has worked for the last 3 years flawless and has an incredible range (walked a quarter mile away no problems). I'd rather the shure but for the price and features (G-733, 2 handhelds, 2 belt packs, 2 lava, 2 headsets, and mini XLR to XLR for other mics) for under $350 it can't be beat for a second system or beater.

A good wireless mic system is the EV R300. I used to have a Sure Pgx24/Beta 58a mic system but, The Ev sounds better. With shure, you pay close to 500 for a wireless mic and they give you a Vocal quality Mic while with other brands, You pay less and they give you Lead Vocal Quality detail.

does anyone have inputs about Line 6 XD-V75 Digital Handheld Wireless ?

Nobody seems to talk about this here.
