Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MIDI%20Controller%20Not%20Working.html

In particular, if your computer has USB 3.0 ports then it may not work when plugged into one of these. Use a USB 2.0 port if your computer has one or a powered USB 2.0 hub otherwise.

Make sure that you also have the most recent version of VirtualDJ LE installed. Register your VirtualDJ LE serial number to your account http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Issue #1 (Logitiech or similar driver conflict) should be the same in Windows 7. If the key isn't present, then you may not have had a conflicting device installed.

Issue #2 shouldn't normally occur in Windows 7.

USB 3.0 is a more likely cause of the issue. Check the USB ports of your computer. If the plastic inside the connector is blue, then it's a USB 3.0 port. Plug the CNTRL-7 into a non-blue USB 2.0 port. If your computer doesn't have one, then try using an external powered USB 2.0 hub. This solves USB 3.0 related issues in most cases.
