VirtualDJ - Switching from PC to laptop - Which laptop though?? (de)

Hey all, I am currently running a Windows XP based rack mount PC in my video rig. It's several years old, but works great. However, I'd like to go with a laptop now to make the console size smaller and to switch to HDMI. With the PC, I only have the option of S-video or composite. My screens have all inputs. Even though I could just get a new video card for the PC, I think Windows 7 would run better anyway. (Some of the video plugins still don't work due to compatibility issues and I don't have the time or patience to diagnose/fix).

So with that said, I am currently in the market for a new laptop that has the ability to run video with effects all the bells-n-whistles that VDJ has to offer. I'd like to keep my budget around $1500 if at all possible. Can anyone recommend a laptop with beefy enough specs to do this? I really like Alienware laptops and was looking at the m14x. Granted, I know that would increase my cost because I'd be paying for the brand name as well , but actually my backup laptop is an m11x, so being able to "match" that visually would at least justify some of its premium "cool factor".
