Hello I have the numark mixtrack pro II and was wondering what software you would recommend for mixes and recording my own music.

Virtual DJ of course! But seriously it all depends on your own style. I've been using VDJ since I started and I have no plans of switching. I'm assuming you're a fellow producer as well? For mixing I use VDJ with a Numark Mixtrack. For recording my own I use FL Studio with a lot of hardware.

For recording and post I use Sonar X2 PE and Magix for beat creation.
A beat I made with Magix

And a recording I did for a local HIP HOP artist K $pell using Sonar X2 PE

No problem! I'm a intermediate producer and dj who's been doing both for around two years. Go Hardwell or go home!
