Topic: Distortion on Mixer - Overheat?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

It's 4:00 am. Last night, Saturday August 03, I got surprised by a sudden distortion from my Denon DN-X1600. I ran my back-up laptop... reboot... and it played again using my main set-up. Everything went well for 3 songs and it got distorted again on the fourth.

Could this be a case of over-heating?
All of my mixers and CD players are in flight-cases. And I don't take them out on actual gigs.

Any similar experience?

Should I start using my gear outside the cases?

I will test this mixer tomorrow for longer hours to see what's the real problem.

Certainly if your equipment s flight cased it would be worth checking that the foam in the case is not covering any vent grills.

You might get away with carefully cutting the foam away around the vent areas. Some units have vents on the underside so might be worth pulling it out to check.
