This is not a thread about v8. Please keep on topic.

i think that right pitch slider be put back in the proper place...keep it genuine, but no biggy... let me have please mommy...can i have it....

Its only a skin, and may not be the final release version, in any case im sure the VDJ skinning community will come up with some exciting variations.

A Quote from the link above ...
For those who are truly getting impatient waiting for this one, our contact had some seemingly more solid news about the arrival of the long-awaited update, too:

“We are in the final stages of in house beta and will be going to our larger VIP/beta testers soon. Release is finally getting close.”

Its a real shame that VDJ does not have a read only thread on the progress and development of vdj8, and that we the loyal users often learn about progress from other sources.

This should read, "it is a shame that users can't respect the process and Be respectful to Atomix staff. Then Atomix could post usefull information on thier forums without being persecuted".

Even if one thread is read only, people will create other threads with their ludacris expectations and finger pointing. I wish those who have done this could see how they demotivate people and stiffle creativity with their "you owe me" attitudes.

best things happens to those who waits...

such sensitive people..you are...in a forum is where everyone comes to voice opinions and ideas some good some bad, but you could always make a rule " any post other than praise will be deleted. We prefer not to hear how you feel or how things work for you, your improvement ideas are not worth or ears. So if your unhappy with anything so what deal with it, we have your measly $300 and no refunds, so deal with it. Should have bout another program instead of trying to find a bargain. You get what you pay for. And if you so anything negative we will block you from the forum and future updates."

But we are djs we always wanna push the issue, we always want more, we believe our ideas are worth dialogue because we are djs. We wish we knew how to write a program like this to give VDJ a run for its money, but we are just djs spending our gig money on the program we feel fits us best and build controllers and sound systems around it...so we want that brain to be a super brain...so we can exhibit the ideas in our super brains can, as easy as possible, be jammed in the ear of the party people who pay us to keep them jumping and gyrating on the dancefloor

There was a prominent computer DJ company just like that, they were leaders in the field, treated there customers badly,
they are no longer a major player in the field, there name is PCDJ.

I'm sure its not lost on Atomix that the problems for PCDJ, started after Major software rewrite.

Given that Andrew the COO worked for PCDJ before joining Atomix I guess they will know that already .......

Keith

Looking forward to the real release date!!

Steady on guys - nitebeatdisco makes a good point.

The reason so many people write disparaging posts about VDJ8 is because we (the users) aren't getting *any* information about Virtual DJ's upcoming flagship product. Note even on their own website. Everyone's frustrated, and it's easy to see why.

Atomix could fix this in 10 mins just by adding a news thread, or update to their site that gives the public some information on the progress of VDJ8.

Until they do this, expect to see lots of threads popping up from people asking "What's the latest?".

Show visitors to this forum that VDJ is a product used by professionals by acting like one.

They have been updating users actually alot the forums are a great resource but there is soo many other options and ways to release info look around and find it as for the Mod comments they are human and also have the right to make mistakes ..... but im sure in no way are they officially spokesman for ATOMIX.

C`mon guys... I've never seen anywhere, ever, any DJ hardware or software company posting regular updates to customers about new releases progress. Just tips at tradeshows and expos. It's part of the business.

Public Finally Gets It's Hands On VDJ8

Sounded like an update to me!

As I wrote, a feature tip released at Dj Expo. No much details. It just keep us curious and expecting the final product. And thats all.

There is another side to this...

There are lots and lots of cool features, and Atomix has drip feed these to us either in the form or updates (7.x) or as sound bites from trade shows/interviews etc.

However, think about it this way... If you reveal how well (or bad) things are going, or all the cool features you are working on waaaaaaaay in advance, as users we treat this as news/updates, but competitors would see this as "leaks" advance information that would allow them to start working on similar features, maybe even try and steal Atomix thunder by releasing something ahead of them.

Some of the things Atomix have talked about, are things that can be seen (or kinda seen) elsewhere - either in pre-release software "The One" or in existing releases. So they have been very careful in choosing what to show us and when.

Whatever Atomix do, has usually found its way in to other software after it has been released. Sync being the prime example! And I'm sure they want to keep it that way... Don't you?

Cheers,

Roy
