Just a quick one, I see that on the config on the Asio settings. It's seems under audio latency setting there is a range of choice from 49 samples to 1024 samples now two questions and taking into account I'm no techie,
1. What the hell does this mean?
2. What's the best setting?
3. Can someone explain the reasons why the range?
4. Can you teach me to count ?
Thank you, everyone has been a massive help over the last few months as I pick through this VDJ mission.

Right from Wikipedia...;-)
Latency can be a particular problem in audio platforms. A popular solution is Steinberg's ASIO, which bypasses these layers and connects audio signals directly to the sound card's hardware. Most professional and semi-professional audio applications utilize the ASIO driver, allowing users to work with audio in real time.

For best results, set is as low as you can without getting sound break-up, distortion, stuttering, etc. How low you can set it depends on your computer and whether it has been optimised for DJ performance and low latency audio. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Performance%20Issues.html
