Topic: speaker needs for a tent gig

I have a potential gig in an outdoor tent, 60 x 40 ft.

It is a wine-tasting in a tent in a parking lot. They do nott want it kick-ass loud, but I want to ensure I have sufficient coverage.

My -usual- speakers are Yorkville NX-55ps, which are 12 inch drivers andhorns rated at 550 watts each. The throw on them is really good for the high end, and they have decent bass as well.

I am wondering if I set up my usual pair, then add another two pairs in the middle and far end of the tent, will that suffice?

I do not have any experience with time-lag and delay on things like thatl I'm aware there is a bit of science to that art, but should I even worry about it, and just run XLR between 3 speakers per side?

I would appreciate anyone's input who has experience with this sort of venue.

Should I snag a couple of subs?

Thanks in advance
J.

I would just cover all four corners... neat, clean and as high as you can get them. Attention to detail with cable management is important so take plenty of gaf tape & black wire ties.

thanks guys :)

For cable runs, try to lead the signal cable along the side of the tent, off the floor, through the horizontal perimeter of the tent. Keeps the wires off the floor. Just connect a bunch of XLR or buy a couple 100 footers.
