Those tables are cool but I don't think they'll sell because most kids aren't dedicated enough to learn how to use turntables even if they could map a sync button on the turntable, lol!!

If I can get my hands on a set I might pick them up. I'm finally happy to see a company has listened even if they are a few years to late.

Reloop has been killing it lately, both of the products are really impressive.

This just goes to show the lack of turntable users that actually use VDJ, lol!!

So rumor is that they are the same platform as the Stanton ST8 150's which are dam good tables!! My question is, will I be seeing these in the states?? I know we can get Reloop controllers but Ive never seen their turntables here.......

The turntable is dead, and most of us have moved on. You can put new lights and tires on a 57 Chevy, but it is still an outdated mode of transportation. The turntable is outdated, and is a piece of history. No one, NO ONE, plays records at parties anymore. They have tried to put lipstick on it, with TCV, but it is still a pig. I do auto shows, and there's a reason they don't drive these cars everyday. They are a piece of history, and some try to hold onto the good old days. But that is what it is, the good old days. It will never, ever come back. I moved on from platform shoes and polyester bell bottom pants. I don't want my dentist to pull my tooth, with a pair of rusty pliers. I remember when CDs came out, and I thought I was a purist. What I am, is a realist. Besides, if you are a purist, wouldn't you be lugging crates of records up flights of stairs to play, on those turntables? You can't embrace half of the legend, and then show up with a hard drive. That's like being half pregnant, and we all know that's fake. So, they will sell a few of these, but production will not last two years.

Blah, blah, blah..... your statement I'd out dated now. Why do you always come in and try to downgrade people with your sideways statements?? I'm sure the rest of the cavalry will come in and help destroy this thread but it is what it is, people who use timecodes don't use VDJ cause its timecode engine isn't very good...... and if turntables were sooooo 'out dated' as you say why our there company's still making them?? You might not like them and that's fine but dont come ripping on people who still do, keep that shit to yourself. Sure controllers have come a long way but hardly any feel like a turntable.

Turntables are NOT Dead. When you see many accessories for something, It means its doing well. Custom vinyls, Cases, Pimp your turntables, Needles & Cartridges, slip matts, etc. If I were the Ceo of a Company and I see that something is Not working, I would either get rid of what's not doing well or keep it and make changes. I never seen Miss Pinky vinyls so why have a engine for it. Looking for Numark Virtual Vinyl's is Hard also. Not many Stores carry them and if you do find it, It would probably be used from another country. Why tell users you can use it with Timecodes and it doesn't work flawless. Why tell people use what works best for you and then drive them away to use another software because they like using turntables.

Another thing incase many didn't know. Technics stop making turntables because " many still own the same old pair " Why would anyone buy a new pair when the old decks still run great. Technics turntables last a long time. If someone decided to sell there decks, Another person would buy them quick because he or she knew they can take a beating. you have millions of Turntables world wide still working. Virtual DJ is NOT a complete solution because, The Club Djs that preffer to use timecodes use another software because this forum drove them away. They got tired of waiting for a fix. 2003 Till now is 10 years overdue. Now.. Don't hate me for saying what is true. I just want people to realize what is going on.. I will say this again.. Back in 2003. DJ software wasn't created for a Midi Controller. There was only two ways to dj. It was either turntables or CD players. It wasn't possible to market something for a midi controller because to capture the attention of many Djs, You had to focus on adapting new technolog to work with what being used at the time. Now you have tons of Midi controllers but, You still have people that like to use a old school setup. This is Not about me, This about the other djs that feel like they are being left out when they preffer to use a old school setup.

So you don't agree that there are people that Like using timecodes, No problem. I don't know why I bother with some of these topics. A lot of Superstar Djs Like Jazzy Jeff, Incrediboi, Yonny, Spin One, and Thousands more must be ancient for using this type of setup. I must be nuts for liking the way jazzy jeff spins.

No were just all trying to hold on to the past, we just can't accept change........

change was made when they created interface boxes, Dicers & 10 inch midi mixers for turntables. Old school is Using just straight up vinyl.

To each his own. I agree with man and his music; turntables are dead. It's just a small percentage of DJs who want to call themselves " real DJs" that still use it. Using turntables does not make you a real DJ just as using a midi controller does not make you a bad DJ. I have seen guys scratch and mix music great with turntables and also with midi controllers. I will not bash anyone for using turntables or not using it. Just use what works for you. If I had to guess the percentage of DJs that still use turntables, I would say 1 percent. Most Djs use midi controllers and they don't see any benefit of using and outdated technology such as a turntable.

If you do not want to address the issues I raised, that's OK, I know it's tough when it's right in your face. You drop names, right after you say you would not, are you confused? Legends, how old are you? I'm glad your night was special.

George, re-read my post, you seemed to have missed my point. It's all good, as I will move on.

@ Splao. Its Not anyone's choice to decide what another person should use. When you say turntables are dead, its saying you don't care and that Djs should not use it. People don't use something because they want to be considered a real Dj. The use it because they feel comfortable using it. A software company makes more money by being able to attract every type of DJ based on what he likes to use. Its getting late, Everyone have a good night.

One more thing before i leave. I wasn't trying to be or acti like im superior because i like using techs. I never said i was better than anyone else. Have a great night. Peace.

Turntables are dead? lol. Would buy these ones if I wasnt sitting on Stanton str8.150's with dicers on them (same motor). I'm soon upgrading my mobile controller but there is now way on earth I leave turntables for a controller, just like there are plenty of people who will never stop using CD-players. There is a reason companies still produce battle-mixers, needles, turntables and controllers like the NI X1.

+1 @ Caliente123

EDIT: Regarding Vinyl: http://mobile.theverge.com/2013/9/16/4736834/amazon-vinyl-sales-up-745-percent-since-2008-but-wont-save-music

If turntables are dead then I'm in trouble

And yes before you ask there are records in my kitchen they're also a pair
12s in my kitchen and some CDJ what can I tell you. My parents still call me
today to ask me to get records out their garage but where would I put them.

Ignoring the dead vs not dead debate and commenting on the product for a sec, I think the price is going to be the major issue with these.

It's a hell of a lot of cash to pay for a handful of extra buttons.

DAAMMMMMMMM Dude!! I would really love to just go exploring and mixing those records. What genres are they?

Back on topic.
I would really love to pick up a set of those Reloop RP8000 turntables. Reloop is really changing the game with this offering. My only concern is if you start banging aways at the buttons, how does that affect the tone arm. Will it bounce/skip?

They felt good to me when I tried them at the recent BPM show.

There were also a pair in use on the Reloop stand for DJ Angelo etc. to perform during the show.

I would assume that Angelo and other DJs on the team have tried these buttons during product development and given Reloop feedback, so unless you've got mallets for fists they should be fine.

Well, you are probably a little bit in trouble no matter what :)
