First off, I do have search bpm checked and have tried #bpm-#bpm, but when I do it its always empty. The only exception is 140 which comes up perfectly every time but no other level shows up. Any ideas for a fix?

Try to type a range. E.g. 120-125

I have as I stated before

Are all your files analysed (do they all show a BPM value in the browser)?
Are you searching your own files - not netsearch or content unlimited?
What BPM are you searching for? What exactly do you type in?
Are you sure you have files with a BPM of the value you're typing?

You didn't answer my question about what exactly you're typing in...
You need to enter just a number i.e. 128 not 128bpm or 128BPM (unless you've got that actual string "128bpm" in a tag).

OK I just tried it myself, and this has jogged my memory.
Atomix changed the search method in version 7.3 so that you could search on two words at the same time - and that affected some things that used to be possible before the change.
It seems that now, you HAVE to enter a range, not just a single BPM. So if you want to see all your 128bpm tracks you can no longer just enter 128 - you have to enter 128-129.....which obviously gives you all the 129bpm tracks too. Not ideal.
[later] Maybe I'm wrong about it being possible before the recent change.....
I just tried on VDJ 6.X.X and it's exactly the same - you can't search for a plain three digit BPM. That's strange.

Alright thanks, that worked. I thought doing 128-128 might do it but no success.
Although I do find it odd that it only seems to work for 140 as a single number

Those files that are coming up as results of your 140 search have probably got the digits 140 elsewhere, in the track name or in another tag.
It does seem strange that it's not possible to search for one BPM. You can't use fractions either.
