Do you think small jog wheels will ever come back?
I think were more than ready, these fake scratch DJ's have had their chance now we need mixer controllers back.
Small old skool jogs with more room for stuff that actually matters, I think this is going to be the new faze of DJ controller.
PS,
My favourite controller at the moment is the Pio DDJ-SR, just cant bring myself to buy one because of those huge jogs and the fact that it's over 19"
It doesn't look reachable which means I couldn't mount it 22 degrees :(
Does anyone know if Denon still make DJ equipment? if so, where is it!

I think It would be hard for Small jog wheel controller to make a comeback. Most prefer larger controllers with nice sized jogs because they don't feel cramped up when they dj. I think Numark is Over due for a NS6 Version 2 and also for Denon to make a Larger sized controller after the MC6000. Numark Can also design a NS5

+1,
Small jogs are boring and most people I know don't want them.

get a VCI-400 they are 18x13 inches, I'm sure you could make a bracket to fit it in a 19 inch rackmount case, but I can't see small jogs ever coming back, I personally hated them, another option is the behringer CMD-MICRO it has tiny jogs and accept for the crossfader it leaves the mixing to a mixer and just handles transport. A good mixer would be the pioneer or rane 19 inch mixers..

I take it you don't like the new 22 inch jog models :) The 6000 is a perfect working mobile controller.

I sold my MC6000 and VCI 380 cause the jogs were too small and controls were to cramped. I opted for the Reloop Terminal Mix 2 and the DDJ-SX. I also really liked my NS6 but did not like the mirror image layout, so I sold it to get the DDJ-SX.
Even though I am partial to my turntables and larger jog wheels, I am not a scratch DJ. I just don't like feeling cramped when I manipulate the jogs. Since I learned on vinyl and used vinyl for a number of years, its been ingrained in me to use the jogs/platters to beatmatch. I still push the platters back and fort to catch the beat unlike most folks nowadays that use the Cue/Play buttons and pitch bend buttons, or worse, the sync button.

I had the 6000. It was a great piece. I now have the DDJ-SX. That is a great piece too. I have to say they are both great in their own way. It does feel like I have more real estate on the SX. The beauty of using any controller with VDJ and mapping it how you like makes it even better. The bigger wheels do feel better for me. I use them to adjust beat matching too. With the 6000 it seemed like all the buttons and knobs were close. It's all about personal preference.

I have had the MC6000 since it came out and used it for both club and mobile work. It's pretty much perfect for me apart from the crappy Denon switches which are useless. The SX is far too big to lug about but would probably be fine in a permanent club install.
The MC6000 also has a couple of hardware faults that can crop up, the mic inputs are really hot and the bass pods are far too sensitive.

I agree the 6000 is perfect for mobile. The mic issue is part of the reason I sold it though.
