Hey , i use VDJ pro with a DDJSX controller now and all is great except i'm getting slight visual stuttering on the discs (on screen) and the leds on the jog wheels , the sound and video output to secondary screens is running like silk though , is there any way i can tweak the video settings in my laptop or vdj to correct this , i use a sony vaio core i5 with 4 gb ram with nvidia dedicated graphics running windows 7 , i experience no visual stuttering when using my denon mc3000

Are you sure VDJ is really using your dedicated video card?
Are you able to select it in the video options in VDJ?

VDJ is using my Nvidia Graphics card , Yes , worked with the controller last night in a walkabout bar on a 4 hour set and there was no issues with sound or video quality though the venues pa and 18 plasma screens , the stuttering is visual on the controller and on the vdj skin only , cpu meter shows about 1-3 bars while playing a mp4 file which is slightly hotter than when my denon is connected. The cpu will jump to almost half way when a file is loading ( which it always has done ).

Very keen to find a fix for this asap as my experience with the unit so far visually is not as it should be.

Firmware and drivers are all up to date too :-(

try using the hd swap skin, or changing skins. I use the swap hd skin and it rocks

Is the stuttering constant, when you load a track, goes to the beat, or just random?

how much ram on the Nvidia ??

also there are very helpful tweaks and optimizations for your laptop in the wikipedia , some or all of those

might help

what's a walkabout bar ?

It's a chain of bars in the UK !

I do Video dances all time , can you do me a favour and open a mp4 and play it , Now open View task Manager , then click process , look for the Virtual DJ , and tell me what KB its running at when playing the video

have you tried playing a sample and gotten it to pay for you... at 100% volume.... ya, be real careful playing samples, they instantly play at 100% volume.
