A Man and His Music
This clip was 6:07 long, which means it was 5:00 longer than I should have listened. I was hoping someone would come on stage and blow his brains out. You can not be a bystander, when someone is committing a horrible crime like this. Really, he should have been killed in front of all those people, to deter others from even trying this, ever again.

poor guy, but lets face it he must have known that he was going to be exposed on an empty stage like that, and the event itself would have been a hard gig, not exactly full of hard core ravers.
at events like this you can't just put a track on and stand there, you need crowd skills, you need to be able to get interact with them , yes this will mean picking up the microphone! , he really is out of his comfort zone.

but we should all take note and learn from this, when you take a booking make sure you know your venue, crowd and what type of event it is
I always visit the venue before hand and talk to the promoter, its essential

There's something to be said for the visual aspect of at least having a mixer and turntables, or CDJs, or a controller. To all you "point and click" DJs out there, take note… DJing with just a laptop is lame. Sure you can do a lot of the same things with just a laptop and a mouse that you can do with a conventional setup, but you're going to look like a tool doing it (like the guy in this video). So stop being DJ iTunes and at least try to look like a DJ for f**k sake!!

ouch! @ that been there the lap top smoked by I also had 5 controllers and the crowd knew I was in trouble... needed a better laptop.. they cheered till the end when we unplugged the laptop and walked away music stopped dead.. smoke and all...
