Sup!
I was asked to DJ at a wedding and was wondering a few things as I'm fairly new to this.
My setup is going to be:
- Laptop
- Numark DJ2Go
- Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 audio interface
- Behringer Xenyx 1002 6 channel mixer
- Yamaha Powered Mixer > speakers
I'm basically just there to transition between each song, mixing a few original's that go into a remix of same song, and announcing things via microphone.
The one thing I'm not sure about is how do I connect everything so that the hard left and right sides of the stereo field correctly go to the speakers? I.e. my powered mixer doesn't really have anything to pan the left and right mono signals from my soundcard (my behringer does however).
Hope that made sense... Thanks!

If he has a DJ2GO, they usually ship with VDJ LE.
One thing that puzzles me about the setup is why the need for the Xenyx mixer and the Yamaha mixer?
It would be preferable to use just the Yamaha one (as it powers the speakers) and leave the Xenyx out of the chain. The more things you have in line between source (VDJ) and destination (speakers), the more chance there is for signal degradation.
Just go from the laptop into the Saffire, then from there to the Yamaha and the speakers. You don't say which Yamaha it is, but most mixers these days have at least one stereo input.

OK, but this guy presumably has passive ones. I doubt he's up for going shopping for powered ones at this stage. :-)

as long as you run everything with a stereo config it will remain stereo. But if you have a powered mixer you only need that one mixer. What model yamaha mixer do you have?

Thanks for the reply guys!
YES, I will be using the software that comes with my DJ2Go.
The smaller mixer was in the chain just so I could keep the powered mixer fairly flat... I could take it out if it's unnecessary?
The powered mixer is a Yamaha 212s I believe. Someone mentioned a "stereo input" and THAT'S what I was wondering about.
No clue if the 212s even has it, if it doesn't what would I have to do to get the stereo field split correctly?

Just checked... the last channels definitely have stereo inputs! I think that's all I needed to know.
I can do what groovindj said and be good to go. Thanks!
