Belvis, I could not have stated it any better. I found out about cross dj on this forum downloaded to my tablet and guess what one of the features was, you got it auto dj to two decks. I have built a playlist for it and it gives me another arrow in my quiver should an emergency arise. You would think the developers would want to attract an keep all the dj's they can not send them to another software. I guess the thing that blows my mind is this is such a simple request.

As SBDJ stated in post #2 the feature is still there in VDJ - it's just not enabled by default. It is possible to use it should you want to.

Didn't work for me, said it was deprecated.

Are you sure you mapped it? It works fine here.
Make sure you actually type it in rather than just select it from the list of verbs.

I mapped it to the A key, now i'm using the skin for my mc-6000, which has four decks. I'm thinking it may have to be a two deck skin to work properly.

No, can't be that.
I just selected a four deck skin here, threw some tracks in the playlist, mapped automix_dualdeck to A, pressed it and everything works. Two tracks load (to two decks). One starts playing. When that finishes, the track on the other deck plays.

It's working in both, but in dual deck mode I don't get the same mix points that I do in automix to single deck. In dual deck mode it mix's using the entire file including flat line, which gives more dead air than I want. Any ideas? Thanks for your help, we're beginning to cook with peanut oil.

Yep, Automix in dualdeck mode seems to ignore all automix settings.
If you notice the 'automix' button doesn't illuminate either. My guess is there will be no way around this as the function is deprecated there will be no support for it!! And this is just how it works in dual deck mode. But I could be wrong.
