Hi,

I've routed the microphone input through Virtualdj as outlined here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/EffectsOnMic.html

I'm finding that a lot of effects don't seem to be working. Either they won't activate at alll on the effects tab or the effect appears to be activated but doesn't have an... effect!

Only effects that are designed to work immediately in real time can be applied to a mic or line-in input.

Effects that need to either look ahead in the song will not work because this is impossible with a live input.

Should a reverb work then? As this was what I was principally after, but even that doesn't seem to be functioning.
 
It should do if it's designed to work in real time. Effects that look ahead in the song file won't work (This will be more common with older effects that were designed prior to VirtualDJ supporting inputs and routing them to decks.)

You can try user-made effects from the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/effects.html

Or you could try using a VST reverb - These are standard plugins designed for professional DAW use, so should work in real time.
