I have OSX 10.6.8 I downloaded VDJ 8 and it doesnt want to open..

Virtualdj 8 needs 10.7 or higher.

If your Mac cannot run 10.7, then you have a few options:
* Remain on VDJ7
* Buy a new Mac
* Run bootcamp and use VDJ8 under windows
* Remain on VDJ7

OSX 10.9 is a free upgrade to anyone running an authorized OSX. If your Mac can handle it, the upgrade is strongly suggested: http://www.apple.com/osx/how-to-upgrade/
