Topic: need help with line inputs

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have a Koas Pad and would like to know how to hook it up to get it to go into the computer. I have it hooked up to an external mixer now.
If I record my mix on the computer obviously I will not be recording the effects I add with the Kaos Pad since it is not going into the computer. How do I connect it up so I will be recording both the internal mix as well as what I do on the Kaos Pad. I use a DJ io external sound card, it only has a mic input. I assume I will need a sound card with multiple inputs and outputs. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I also need detailed info on how to configure the settings in the config menu of virtual dj. I am on version 7.4, I plan to upgrade to Virtual DJ 8 in a few day. I use a PC by the way.

Many thanks for any help you can give with this.

I would suggest that, because you have external hardware (mixer, Kaoss Pad), you configure VDJ to "external mixer" and do your mixing, processing and recording outside VDJ.

Assuming your DJIO is a mk I, it can be used to provide two separate stereo outputs from VDJ to your mixer. Then from the mixer you will either use send/return (if your mixer has it) to connect your Kaoss Pad, or just use it across the mixer output.

The final job is to record the results. Time to invest in a solid state digital audio recorder. There are hundreds on the market.

Agreed :-)
Could also use the built in "line in" on a standard internal PC sound Card to feed back to your computer and use whatever DAW or Recording software you choose.
