I know new updates will get pushed to the software when we log in and download the updates, but will Atomix continue to make new versions, like in the past such as 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, etc? Or is V8 the final version and we will just continue to get new build numbers?
Another words, what does the future of Virtual DJ look like at this point? Or what kind of software road maps will be developed? I assume as new controllers hit the market, new updates will have to come out to allow the controllers to work properly. And the Wishes & New Features forum is always getting new stuff added to it, so does it make sense to believe that Atomix will continue to evolve VDJ with new versions over time? And if so, will they be complete re-writes again, or will updates just be built on top of each other, like past versions?

I would like to see an ipad only app, Djay has now integrated with Spotify, serious competition to content unlimited and a smaller package.

I predict that there will be a new version called Virtual DJ 8 Timeline, and it will be possible to upgrade to this from Infinity for a small fee.

And how would you describe this so called version named "timeline"
geposted Thu 22 May 14 @ 9:39 am
Well it's very similar to the existing version 8 but it has an extra feature based on a line which represents time.

What's scary about that is that i just dropped Dr who...
geposted Thu 22 May 14 @ 6:33 pm
Nothing is worth dropping a Time Lord over Scott. I'm terribly disappointed in you. Turn in your sonic screw driver.....

What's wrong with Dr. Who?...that track was played here in S.F. by SteveMasters on Live105 and by Dj Efx & Doc Martin at the Clubs (back in 89' that is..) the Timelords yeah, later to be KLF (God forbid imao)....:)

Scott, did you pick it up before the 5 second rule? Oh wait, I forgot you are on the other side of the pond. How many seconds is it over there?

Ipads though popular and have a mega following are not suited for for most dj's. It has no direct input for more memory/harddrive it will not run a full fledged dj application (not talking an app here). I am a mobile dj and do a lot of weddings and the variety of music I own and have to be available to me will not fit on an ipad bit it would be doable with any of the crop of Windows tablets that are x86 based run a full version of windows and has standard usb, microsd, ad display ports making hooking up controllers, harddrives thumb drives or micro sd cards as easy as your laptop or desktop no iAdaptors needed.

Maybe they could get the bpm editor to understand that music can be faster than 240 bpm (it can, really, speedcore isn't a 2/2 signature)
