Topic: My first gig using VDJ8

well tonight i got to use VDJ8 for the first time in a gig and i had just a couple of issues that i will like to share, the firs one was that when i was playing music and loaded another song i had to adjust the pitch control because it automatically changed the pitch like if i was using the sinc bottom. the second one a couple of times while searching songs on the search bar and hit the letter S the music stopped, i had to press play in my controller to keep playing the song, while playing karaoke i noticed that the screen was not as bright as before using VDJ7 but i found out that the fader and volume sliders had to do with that so i disabled the fader and volume so i could get the right screen brightness. besides that the night went smoothly and i got compliments about how good the system sounded. even thou i have a VMS4 and is known that this controller does not have the best sound card out-there. all i know is that VDJ8 is awesome and i just need to configure it so i get it working the way i want it. any tips are welcome on how to fix this small shortcomings

Configuration, reset pitch on load, or something to that affect. Controllers, keyboard, I delete any letter that does something. S is stop, andP is pause. There are others, so pick the ones that you want.
 
The config option is autobpmmatch - needs to be off.

When it changed the pitch, did it just suddenly start doing that out of the blue? I had that myself once.
 
well i already figured out that to make it work like vd7 you have to turn off the above mention things. but i am very happy is working fine so far thanks guys

You can set the keyboard to disable in the controller settings so that while your typing you won't stop the track or play a sample etc.
