Topic: Four channel mixer

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I usually use my Gemini CDJ700 is HID controllers with virtual DJ, in combination with a four channel mixer. However, my mixer does not have XLR connectors, so I'm thinking of upgrading. What do you guys think of the Behringer DDM4000 mixer?

it was nice for me easy to map only flaw was i think if you midi map crossfader headphones acted weird but maybe they fixed that not are it been a while other than that tho i did like it ..it was awesome for djin music

Maybe a Pioneer 700/800.

...I'm on a budget.

What mixer do you have currently?

Do you really need XLR outputs?

If you are happy with your current Mixer you can look at a convertor to change from unbalanced RCA or Jack to balanced XLR. There are quite a few stereo ones around under £100. You would just use a pair of short unbalanced cables to go between the Mixer and the Convertor and then XLR balanced from the Convertor to your Amplifier.

Look into the American Audio MXR 14 for a 4 channel, or the MXR 10 for a 2 channel. Both great mixers that already have a mapping, or you can map it to your liking.

I picked up a Pioneer 800 for 400 bucks. You can find cheap all over the place. Also check out guitar centers used inventory, you can find some awesome deals there!!

I own the djm 800 and the ddm4000 and I have to say I prefer the ddm to the djm800. I've been using it in my home daily for about three years now and I have not had any problems at all.

You can not beat the features for the price of the ddm.

As far as build quality, it's fine for me. Like you I am on a budget so I take care of my equipment. My mixer has not left my home studio. I also don't beat on it. I never understood why people do beat on their mixers. My mixes are pretty smooth, so don't feel the need to rip off my channel faders or eq's while in the heat of the mix.

You should go for the ddm4000.

Thanks, the ddm4000 does look very affordable and I have heard nothing but goods reviews from Behringer mixer, and myself being the owner of a behringer mixer I can also add that they are solid and highly reliable. Thank you all for your input. Now, all I have to do is wait for my next paycheck to go out and buy it.

A word of warning about the DDM; as stock you can use the crossfader for audio or MIDI, but not both at the same time.

Some people perform a hardware modification to theirs to get around this.

If you're audio only, or like me do video uncoupled from the audio crossfader then it's not an issue.

I don't understand your comment, but let me see if it makes sense. I wont be using the mixer as a controller, for that purpose I use my CDJ's. My cdj's are connected to the mixer via rca cables. When I'm not using my cdj's as controllers, I use them with either USB, SD or CD's, but never both at the same time. The behringer will work just fine in this manner, right?

Yes sir it will but if you ever get into video that mixer won't work unless you do a hardware hack.

Oh, okay got it. I don't do video DJ, and as a matter of fact I find myself using virtual DJ just to scan my files and organize them by BPM or key. Thank you for the input.

what midi controller did you guys use for the DDM4000 ?
ive had mine for a few years it came with a CME MIDI - USB cable and never got it working on VDJ7, I had it working in traktor and a few other programs but VDJ never accepted the USB-MIDI, ive got a Pioneer DDJ-SR I use as CDJ's threw VDJ and ive been using 3.5mm to rca from a SoundBlaster Titanium X-Fi for each channel to the DDM4000 for the XLR outputs
I want to go the switch to VDJ8 but if I have to remap everything all over again and still not use the DDm4000 im better off as it Is now
