With VDJ 8 the VMS2 will not load tracks when hitting the load button for respective deck.
Does it need to be mapped for VDJ8, and if so how to map so you can load tracks from,
automix, browser as in version 7?

In addition I now cannot get the audio setup correctly.
Audio setup as: speaker+headphone
Source (First way ) Master channel 1&2
Headphone channel 3&4
Did not work correctly, changed to:
Source Deck 1
Headphone 3&4
Both ways only work for a short while then no sound.
Also when I get sound from deck and load deck 2 sound cuts off.
Anybody have the correct setting please?

You should be able to see a "special" button in the AUDIO tab of Config, with an icon of the VMS2. If you click on that button, and then hit APPLY, it will auto-create the correct audio setup for you , which is Deck 1 .. VMS2... Chan 1,2 / Deck 2 .. VMS2.. Chans 3,4
Nothing is really changed for the mapper, so it should have almost the same functionality with version 7.
Make also sure that the unit is properly detected by its name in the CONTROLLERS tab of Config and the factory default is selected in the mappings drop down list.

Just re installed VDJ8. Sound worked correctly this time.

Everything works fine with version7, just not with 8.
The only way I can load tracks using the load button on VMS2 is
if I put tracks in the automix section.

Thats a bit weird.
the 2 x LOAD buttons (mapped simply as ..load) should load the focused track on the Browser to the decks.
If they only work when a track is in the Automix list (in Sideview), then maybe the Songs list (middle), doesnt have the focus when you press the LOAD button ?
Can you check your Loadsecurity setting (in Config->Options) ? Even if it set to Yes, it should still pop-up a confirmation if the deck is playing, but worths trying with No.

That did not work.
However, I found something else about making a new folder called device.
Then copying the mapper into that folder. Don't have time to do a complete
test, but so far the load buttons seem to be working as they should.

Just did a test and it still does not work. The only way to load from the
browser is the (scroll) button in the center. [That is the one between the up & down
side to side arrows.]
Just hooked VMS2 back to my main system and everything works fine.
Any other suggestions?

If it works on one system (computer) and not to another one, there might be a chance that one of them is using a custom mapping file with incorrect assigned action for the LOAD buttons.

Reverted once again back to factory mappings for VMS2.
In version 8 I can now get tracks to load from browser. I now have to use keyboard to move to playlist (automix)
section in order to load track. When loading track from playlist, but it does not remove it.
In version 7 load track from browser okay. When I load from playlist it removes track from playlist section.
Should it not have the same actions in 7 & 8?

Tried version 8 on another laptop with the VMS2.
Same results. VMS2 works with VDJ version 7.

Nothing is changed for the Navigation buttons on the VMS2. Still the Left and Right NAV buttons should set focus on the Folder and Songs Lists.
Are you sure you are using the default factory mapping and not some custom one ?
As for the non-removing tracks from Playlist (automix), yes that is how version 8 works now. You can try to use the Sidelist instead of the Automix list and set the RemovePlayedfromSidelist option to Yes. This will remove the files from the sidelist once played (get the played flag)

Ther is also an option to remove played songs from automix (hidden in the panels options I think).
About the nav- buttons: had this problem with Hercules RMX. The mapping was simply wrong (or other than required).
Thats the factory-mapping:
left: browser_folder
right: browser_window 'songs'
changed it to:
left: browser_folder ? browser_folder : browser_window -1
right: browser_window +1
Works well for me.

Is there a way to map the load key to remove it from the automix without messing
up the rest of the settings?
Right now I use the automix as the playlist (like in 7) and the sidelist for requests,
which is set to horizontal.
I did try a mapping to load and remove (after trying original mapping): but this screwed up some
of the other settings.
