Topic: is vdj 8 stable

i havent been into the forums of vdj8 latley but i was wondering if i can use the software for dj/vdjing live instead of vdj7 to try it,would there be unstable situations or i shouldnt use wats ur recomendations thx

Haven't seen a Windows crash report for a while now. Been using it constantly with the SSX2 and it's been fine.

Can't comment on Mac however

I'd say it's stable, I can make it crash/hang at will but that's more down to me over working my machine, with VSTs and multitasking.

The only way to know (for how you use VDJ) is to test for yourself.
 
DJ Sam I don't use a controller, and VDJ8 is rock solid for me through MP3's, MP4's, and CDG's. Windows 8. I'm using an Intel 4700HQ Haswell, and it just idles along regardless what's playing. But forum comments say 8 uses a bit more processor. Might check that at home before headin' out. :)

I use both Mac's and PC's, however for events, I am exclusively Mac. (I use a PC for database editing since I find it's easier.)

I use VDJ 8 on my Mac weekly and since build 1923, VDJ has been flawless. (And I use the latest beta builds all the time.)
 
vdj 8 never let me down! I use on pc for mac don't know can't say ,but pc very stable played few times for 8 hours set no problem ,never had a crash I only played mp3's don't know about video
 
Used it for 9 x 4 hour gigs and all stable on windows 7 just user errors . Damn did I admit to that, :)
 
After reading this thread, out of daftness, thought I'd check my diary and tot up some numbers.

Since VDJ8s release in May last year I have done 90 gigs with it!!!
Of those 17 were weddings.

I currently have 57 bookings at the Hotel between now and mid October, 48 of those are weddings. All will be done with VDJ8.

So......... is VDJ8 stable???.......... I think so......... I make my living with it. ;-)
 
Numark NS7II + VDJ 8 + Mac OSX Mavericks all working like a champ on gigs and vdj radio.
