Using Asus G53J with Numark DJio trying to get VDJ8 & Spotify to play. When VDJ8 is on the sound from Spotify is distorted. When off it sounds fine. What am I missing in set-up? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean "on", just open, or are you trying to play a song in both, at the same time?

Are you using Windows 7 or 8 ?
Here you can't use 2 different sound-outputs (f.e. VDJ=Numark ASIO, Spotify=Numark WDM doesn't work).
If they use the same (f.e. both Numark WDM), then it should work.

Yes "on" meaning open. I'm using windows 7. I will double check my config. Thanks for your help.

still no luck getting clean sound from any program running while vdj8 is open using numark djio...any more suggestions? Thanks

Re read the manual it doesn't say anything about outputting from the laptop, 2 programs into the DJIO.

Assuming you're using ASIO, it's perfectly normal for the audio interface to only allow one program access. That's the way ASIO works.
