i am searching for a new windows only laptop (not interested in mac's) but i am not in rush...
my sony vaio have served me well these 2 years, and i now need something more. like backlit keyboard, full hd screen (maybe touchscreen), i5 processor, 8 gigs of ram maybe some ssd (ssd and ram can be added later), intel hd graphics (graphics are not needed), running cool and have the same build quality like sony, but since vaio is over i am looking for dell or lenovo maybe.
for the characteristics i am searching i see most laptop models with "U" processors like dell inspiron 7537 series or lenovo thinkpad s540 series. and i am wondering do these processors run just fine ? or because they are underclocked i will have problems? e.g. the 4210u i5 model. http://ark.intel.com/products/81016...Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_70-GHz?wapkw=4210u
it goes from 1,7 up to 2,7 ghz. will it overheat if need's to run at full power or it will just consume more power ?
anyone used ultra low power cpu's , hit me with your experience's!

I am running VDJ 8 on a Surface Pro 3 ( i5 8gb ram) with no issues at all for music and video. It actually runs better on the Surface than it did on my HP Envy Beats edition laptop that had an quadcore i7 with 8gb of ram.
