Could someone please explain me how does inverted loop (back) differ from the "classic" forward loop? How can it be handy while mixing? I own Numark Mixtrack Pro and I just use in&out buttons, but I'm sure a lot of useful actions and combinations can be mapped to controller. What do you guys actually use, ideas would be really helpful :).

loop (normal) makes the moment you press the button the start of the loop, loop back makes it the end of the loop
I don't use in or out I have many buttons dedicated to specific loop sizes (forward)
1/8,1/4,1/2,1,2,4,8,16,32
loop 0125
to
loop 32

the whole idea of Loop back is to provide a loop based on what you have heard so far. Not that handy with Loop In/Out , but rather with Quick Loops.
So if Loop Back is enabled and you enable a 4 beat loop at some point, it will use that point as Loop Out (Exit) point, creating a loop starting 4 beats back.
This ensures that the part you have heard (probably without any vocals), will provide you the loop you want for your mix (as you may not know what comes next ;) )

I see, but is that back loop actually suitable for Mixtrack pro? As far as I see it, it doesn't really have any dedicated buttons for preset loops so the only way to achieve that would be to use a combination of buttons, right?
In my opinion scratch button is really useless, so I could easily map it for loops. What would you recommend? Perhaps I could dedicate vinyl_mode (SCRATCH) + cue buttons (HOTCUE_1, HOTCUE_2, HOTCUE_3) for those quick/back loops? Could you please help me out with that?
