Topic: SYNC DRIFT!

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Perhaps this information can help a few. I love my BASS, and have found an issue with playing LOUD. Using a controller in heavy BASS will cause the music to drift and send you OUT of SYNC. I also noticed my mouse arrow will DRIFT across the screen. I use a trackball. The platters vibrate and move, the mouse ball vibrates and moves.

The solution is to isolate the controller and mouse/trackballs from the vibration as we do with turntables to stop feedback. Get some good foam. Perhaps even a wheelbarrow inner tube (not completely inflated), or rubber bands with your controller on a "swing". Anything that can reduce the bass waves getting to your equipment.

I use a Vestax VCI-100 which is a heavy and sturdy unit. But with a double 18 close by it will definitely have vibration problems. Having it up on foam works pretty good for me.

So there you go if you don't understand why your tracks are slipping out of SYNC it could be the bass coming up into your controller and vibrating your platters.

Good luck !!!

My booth sits on top of a double 18. I used to use a trackball, but when I went to a laptop, I now use the track pad. No more moving cursor, but I still have to be quick if I want to set a cue point. The vibrations definitely move the jog wheels.
