When I speak or play music there is about a 30 second delay between the time I start my broadcast ans the time it plays. Is there any setting I can change to get it to where the broadcast reception corresponds closer to my sending the sound? Using windows 8.

this is to prevent drop outs and i believe its a setting on the server not on vdj

Yes, you are behind double buffering:
1) The server buffers your stream before streaming it to your listeners
2) Your player (if you try to listen to server) buffers the stream before it starts playing.
So yes, 30 secs is on the normal edge depending on you internet speed
