Suddenly, without any notice the crossfader stops working for audio.. video appears fine, and works as expected with or without link on. This happens with all skins. the crossfader moves on screen but audio does not change. happens with or without a controller...... I'm stumped :-( A re-start during the night is obviously not an option.
I guess I've been lucky, this is the first problem I've ever had with VDJ8, barring config settings and human error of course ;-)

UPDATE: It appears my VDJ8 is broken... even a reboot won't fix it

setting CrossfaderDisable is set to No ?
Any chance the fake_mixer is enabled from a mapping file or skin ?
check this from the Mixer Options (small round button right above the crossfader in the 4 Decks default skin)

Thanks DJdad, I hadn't thought of those! I managed to sort it by doing a factory reset (possibly correcting what you suggested) AND replacing my MAP and DEVICE files. It was strange that these were affecting things without a controller connected. Anyway, all back to normal now and I will keep an eye on those settings if the issue recurs. LONG LIVE VDJ! :D
