For the first time in my life I think I like the VDJ 8 skin.
Why?
It looks colourful, and is the ultimate in practicality.
There is something else, the way I use VDJ 8 has changed. I agree with Ean Golden in a recent video he made that four decks are not quite needed.
Two decks are fine with a dedicated sampler sub controller. Remember you can load up special songs such as the birthday ones.
Now then we still have decks three, and four left over. Hm I've been loading up a scratch sample on each deck. It's so easy to do a deck change whilst a song is playing, do a bit of scratching, and then nip back to the main event. This seems to offer a easy way to incorporate scratching. Note that you do need a proper scratch sample loaded at all times. Don't forget the VDJ option to silence the reverse movement of the jog wheel. It's too easy ! You don't need to touch the cross fader LOL.
There has to be a few genius level people on the staff at Atomix.
