Currently on my win 8.1 machine i,m using asio 2.2.2 with denon DN-MC6000 version1 and ( currently VDJ 7), but having read
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/203679/VirtualDJ_8_bug-report_Forum/Minor_bug_together_with_Denon_MC6000_Mk1.html
when using vdj8 should i be using WDM instead as per that thread and this?
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/DN-MC6000.html
Windows WDM audio instead of ASIO
2 deck hardware mixing (INT MIX):
Deck 1 | Speakers (MC6000) | Output 1&2
Deck 2 | Speakers (MC6000) | Output 3&4
If i use WDM will that then be fine for swapping (if needed) between VDJ 7 and VDJ 8 while testing out version 8

Just try it. Id you don't have problems use the asio driver.
And no, it doesn't matter if you run v8 or v7 using the wdm driver.
