First Request Scenario: When recording a set (using VDJ built in recording) and the damn doorbell rings halfway through the set, is there a way to pause the recording and also pause the tracks playing at the same time, then resume recording with the same or different button?
Second Request Scenario: I use 'deck 1 play & deck 2 play' and 'deck 1 stop & deck 2 stop' on two different buttons, is there a way to have both on one button as in first press deck 1 play & deck 2 play and on 2nd press 'deck 1 stop & deck 2 stop' or something like that

Scene 1 I'm not sure you can pause a recording, can't test now, but you can pause all decks and stop the rec and restart as a new recording, I'll test this evening and offer scripts

Yep, that's what I found out.
Tested it with deck 1 play ? deck 1 stop & record : deck 1 play & record
It starts and stops the deck fine, but when restarting the deck, a new record file is created.
So it looks like this at the end:
(start deck)
testrecord.mp3 was created and is recording
(stop deck)
testrecord.mp3 stops recording
(restart deck)
new file testrecord(1).mp3 was created and recording
(stop deck)
recording stop
(restart deck)
testrecord(2).mp3 was created and recording
...

Thank you for trying PachN, I knew this could be a tricky one but I hope a solution can be found without having to start a 2nd recording then joining them together at the end........or I could just not answer the door next time someone rings the bell lol

or re-start after finding out who disturbed your recording :)

That's what I said. I'm sorry but when I record, even if I could hear the doorbell, it would not get answered. My dog can hear it, and would let me know if the house was burning down.

Why You apologising?, Thats what you'd do and hundreds of others would do to. The doorbell was just an example of unforeseen circumstances where a "pause all" button could be a good idea, which is why I asked if there was a way to pause everything at once type script, It's not important but could be useful. :)
