Hey guys i Have some mp3 files that sound like if the volumen was going up and down they are original mp3 files so sound quality is good I know is not the limiter because I set the db to -6 and I raised my levels on the external mixer any special setting that im missing to make high quality mp3s sound good the mp3 file sounds perfect outside vdj 8

Is it doing it through the whole song, like cycling, or is it just changing at the beginning? Could they be tracks that have not been analyzed yet?

Is it the same songs all the time, or random? Constant Bit Rate, or Variable Bit rate?

Original is not always good enough. You need a high bitrate - 320 is what DJs need. I have downloaded itunes tracks where the bitrate is no good.
Look at the track in scratch mode vs another good track and see if the wave patterns are weird.
Also, despite the gain setting is the limiter licking in? If so then you need to reduce gain more.
This is all assuming that there is nothing wrong with the system and that it is only for certain tracks and always consistent.

It is only on certain tracks and the mp3 file is 320 and no the limiter is not kicking in
